From 1–3 December 2025, the Tech2Link consortium gathered at South East European University (SEEU), Tetovo, for the second EU Study Visit dedicated to advancing Technology Transfer capacities across partner universities.
During three intensive days, partners explored practical models of IP management, commercialization pathways, business–university collaboration, startup support, spin-off creation, and data-driven innovation.
Participants engaged with experts from SEEU and Lodz University of Technology, taking part in workshops, demonstrations, strategic discussions, and hands-on sessions on how TTHubs can become engines of innovation for the Western Balkans.
Highlights of the visit included:
• Deep dive into patents, copyrights, trademarks, and AI-related legal issues
• Case studies from SEEU’s Business & Innovation Center
• Workshops on collaboration agreements, joint ventures, and market-ready tech
• Sessions on TRL, technology valuation, business modelling, and go-to-market strategies
• University-level strategy discussions among WBU, UP, IBC-M, LU
• SEEU campus tour and meetings of the PMB and PQAB
This visit marks another important step toward building sustainable Technology Transfer Hubs that connect academia, business, and society throughout the Western Balkans.
