Tech2Link Project Organizes Online Training on Impact Assessment and Reporting in Technology Transfer

On 27 February 2026, within the framework of the Erasmus+ CBHE project Tech2Link – Bridging the Gap: Technology Transfer Hubs Connecting Western Balkans Universities, Business and Society, an online training session was successfully held under Work Package 4 – Capacity Building Activities, led by SEEU.

The training focused on the theme:
“Impact Assessment and Reporting: Measuring and Reporting the Impact of Technology Transfer Activities and Evaluating the Success of Commercialization Efforts.”

The event brought together representatives from partner universities across the Western Balkans and the EU, including: Western Balkans University (WBU) and Luarasi, Albania, University of Pristina (UP) an International Business College Mitrovica (IBC-M) , Kosovo, South East European University (SEEU), North Macedonia and Lodz University of Technology (LUT), Poland

Throughout the day, participants engaged in interactive sessions addressing:
Understanding economic, social, research and institutional impact in technology transfer
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for commercialization
Impact assessment methodologies, including ROI and cost-benefit analysis
Legal framework and risk assessment in technology transfer
Structuring impact reports for leadership and EU funders

The training contributed to strengthening institutional capacities in measuring, evaluating, and communicating the real impact of technology transfer activities, supporting universities in becoming more innovation-driven and societally engaged.

The Tech2Link project is co-funded by the European Union and aims to establish and strengthen Technology Transfer Hubs across the Western Balkans, fostering stronger collaboration between academia, business, and society.
